What to expect when visiting Fairfield Foursquare
1. What are your service times?
Our Sunday morning services begin at 10:00 am. We also hold Wednesday evening services at 6:30 pm. For additional information, visit our Service Times page.
2. What if I don't know what I believe?
That's totally okay with us! Many people who visit Fairfield Foursquare know very little about God and are curious to explore what we believe.. Others may be wrestling with questions about who God and how a belief in Him might change their lives. While others may already be believers who are looking for a church to call home. The good news is that our services are designed to help you explore your beliefs, provide practical application to Biblical concepts, and give you an opportunity to experience a very real and loving God...no matter where you are in your journey There's no pre-requisites, required knowledge, or fancy protocol for beginning your spiritual journey at Fairfield Foursquare.
3. Where do I go?
Our facilities have several entrances, which can be confusing if you don't know where you are going! We recommend you come through the double entrance on the north side of the church, under the big awning. We have greeters available at this entrance who can point you in the right direction from there.
4. What should I wear?
You can wear whatever feels comfortable to you. You can expect to see Pastor Matt in jeans or khakis and the worship team is dressed casually as well. Simply come as you are.
5. When should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the service. This allows time for you to drop off your children, grab a cup of coffee and find a seat prior to the start of the service. Coffee and refreshments are available from 9:30 - 9:55 am, and the service starts promptly at 10:00 am.
6. Where do I take my kids?
We love kids! Our children's ministry, Foursquare Kids, offers age-appropriate environments where your kids (infants through 4th grade) will learn about Jesus and the Bible on their level. While your children will have a great time, also know that the safety of your child is important to us. Each volunteer is screened and trained to help your child have a great experience. You will receive a secure tag that will allow you to check your child in/out of class. A volunteer will greet you at the Foursquare Kids Check In Center to assist you with the process, answer any questions you have, and help you get your kids to their classroom. To learn more about our children's program, visit the Foursquare Kids page.
7. What about my teens?
We encourage middle and high school students to fully participate and attend the worship service with their family. We believe it is also important for students to connect and be with one another. Therefore, J12 (5-6th grade) and U-turn (7-12th) have separate meeting times aside from our Sunday morning services.
8. What can I expect?
A service is typically 90 minutes long and is designed around two main elements: music and a message. The music is played by a live band and leads the congregation in singing fun and dynamic songs about God. The message provides practical application for your life by blending teaching, stories, and humor to bring Scripture to life.. We promise not to make you wear a visitor badge, ask you to stand up, or do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Simply come as you are and meet a group of people that love God and enjoy being together.
9. Should I bring anything?
There is no need to bring anything other than an openness to grow! We do use the Bible a lot, so you may want to bring yours if you have one, or you can download a complimentary electronic version on your mobile device or tablet here.
10. Do I have to give money?
Absolutely not! We do collect tithes and offerings during service, but there is no pressure or expectation for you to give. After all, the greatest gift you can give us is your attendance!
11. Is there anything else I need to know?
Yes! We genuinely look forward to meeting you. When you visit Fairfield Foursquare, you will find a lot of people just like you. People who want to be better parents, want stronger marriages, are looking for answers to life's struggles, want a place to belong and connect, and who want to grow in their spiritual walk. It can take courage to visit a church for the first time, but our hope is that you will feel comfortable and at home the moment you walk in the door!
